About me
Tivoli Gustafsson

Tivoli is a 25 year old 2D animator and illustrator who lives in Sweden.
They are friendly and creative, always seeking out unique and different perspectives in their stories. They specialize in character animation as well as storyboards, and enjoy finding what makes that character different in their movements and actions. They're flexible and carry many hats as an artist. They are also very caring for nature, and love animals. Because of the pressing global warming they are also very concerned about the future. This is a topic that they want to explore more in future projects.

The space between
The space between is a fantasy/sci-fi adventure meant to be told as a 2D sidescroller game featuring Ziel pollendust, and Rina skyspire.
This page is specifically about Ziel and her home.
Ziel pollendust
Ziel pollendust is to most people reserved and socially awkward. she stays away from conversation unless it connects to her interests. But without words, she choses to be kind.
Alone, she's an adventurer with a strong spirit, and deep fascination with the past. she believes there's something hidden, and seeks to find it.

Ziel lives in a windmill on the floating island of Iiet, hidden among the clouds. A quaint village also inhabits this island. And everyone knows everyone here.

Lebi pollendust
Lebi pollendust is a hardy and clever old woman who lives in the village's windmill together with her granddaughter, Ziel.
She's known as the best baker in town and is renown for her bread and pastries. She prefers a peaceful life, tending to her windmill and helping out in the village. She often sends Ziel on errands to hopefuly encourage her to make some friends.

Clothing concept
Their clothing is as fashionable as their headgear, thanks to Iiet's abbundance of natural dyes. It is very popular to wear colorful clothing that reflects once identity, one way or another. Details are also important, especially incorperating the life symbol somewhere.

The villagers
Friendly and helpful seems to be the villages main moto. With a strong work ethic, keeping both the village and each other together.
This village strongly values community and togetherness, and it is generally expected of everyone to always lend a hand to a neighbour. To ignore that, is frowned upon. The village Liet, is known for its fashionable head gear and hats. They're used as a way to recognize your profession.
Each has wheat or grass encorpirated into the design, as the grass is seen as a symbol of thriving and life.

Early concepts
In the very beginning, they were cats, that took turns as the sun and moon. But later that idea was scrapped and reshaped into birds as i felt it'd be more fun to explore anthropomoprhic birds.

The vision of night and day remained, but the original idea was completely scrapped. Though i found it interesting, ultimately, it didn't make enough sense to me, and i wanted to challenge myself out of my cat-comfortzone.
